Autism not only affects the child but impacts parents, siblings and extended family members.  NFAR is dedicated to helping families of those with autism by connecting them with autism resources, other autism families as well as a variety of fun family activities in a welcoming environment.

NFAR Parent Programs and Family Activities Include:

Through our Community Projects Program, NFAR is collaborating with various organizations and agencies to bring new opportunities and enhanced options to those with autism in our community.  To date, NFAR has funded 110 major initiatives, all of which provide increased learning and/or inclusive opportunities to help individuals with autism strive. 

The NFAR Teacher's Award Program was established in 2005 to enhance the education and training of students with autism.  We work with educators at the classroom, district and university levels to provide educator's with much needed equipment, technology and specialized curriculum.
