Why I Race: 10 Years of Making a Difference!
- 01 March 2018
March 24th will mark the 10th anniversary of Team New York Life for Kyla. During the last ten years, the San Diego office of New York Life has supported NFAR every year with a team, donations, volunteer support and Child ID and our support has grown to nearly $103,000!
I originally became involved with NFAR through the Race for Autism because I have a daughter on the spectrum. I learned that all the donations from the Race for Autism go back out to our local community to fund needed programs for parents, teachers and children in the San Diego area. Our local office got involved because there is definitely power in numbers, and we wanted to make a difference in the community where we live and work. As a company, we believe that every effort – financial or time spent volunteering – helps keep our communities resilient and strong. This is something to celebrate. Go Team New York Life for Kyla!!
Mariana Farrell, CLU, ChFC, CASL, CLF is the Director of Development for New York Life San Diego, and proud parent of a daughter with autism.
