Our vocational program is a comprehensive program, designed to train those with Asperger's Syndrome or high functioning autism to be entry level Software Testers.

The Program consists of 180 hours of instruction over the course of five months, and is designed to teach participants .

  • The technical and work readiness skills needed to land a first job.
  • Instruction is hands-on in an autism friendly environment.
  • Mimics a real work environment and provides real-life work experiences.
  • As part of the soft skills curriculum, we are collaborating with the Intricate Mind Institute and the Child and Adolescent Services Research Center (CASRC) at Rady Children’s Hospital to offer the SUCCESS Program - a social communication skills program combining evidence-based cognitive enhancement and an executive functioning skills curriculum to help adults with ASD improve the necessary “soft skills” to find and keep competitive work.
  • Includes Resume and Portfolio development.
  • The tuition is $3,975 ($795/month) for the 5-month program. Thanks to a grant by The UPS Foundation, NFAR is now able to provide scholarship assistance to those families in need reduces tuiton up to 50%.
