This year’s Teachers Award recipients are from the following school districts and entities: Bonsall Union, Cajon Valley Union, Chula Vista Elementary, Encinitas Union, Grossmont Union, La Mesa Spring Valley, Mountain Empire Unified, Oceanside Unified, Poway Unified, San Diego Unified, San Dieguito Union, South Bay Union, Sweetwater Union, Temecula Valley Unified, Valley Center - Pauma, as well as ABA and Verbal Behavioral Group, Rady Children's Hospital, RBCPC Preschool, and The Institute for Effective Education.
With the challenges of educating an ever-increasing number of students on the autism spectrum, these grants help fill a gap in funding that is not otherwise available.
Thanks to the proceeds of the annual San Diego Race for Autism fundraiser, NFAR has now awarded more than 400 Teachers Grants to educators throughout San Diego.
